Below is a list of frequently asked questions by various individuals, business owners and marketers. I have created this list of FAQs based on the questions that my clients often ask and the questions commonly posted in online forums and on social media.
Would my company benefit from digital marketing?
Indeed. You don't have to do away with your traditional marketing efforts. However, in 2022 if the word "digital" doesn't come into your overall marketing strategy, your business will not thrive.
What is a digital marketing funnel?
Think of a marketing or buyer's funnel as a journey a prospective customer takes to make a final purchasing decision - The funnel depicts the steps a customer or client takes in the entire journey from the moment they realise the problem they need to solve right through to where they become customers.
There are three stages:
Awareness
Consideration
Purchase or sign up
Businesses must include digital content and activities that meet prospective clients or customers at each stage of the funnel.
How often should businesses publish digital content?
Website Content – Two articles a month
Facebook – One post a day and no less than three times a week.
Instagram – At least once a day during the week.
LinkedIn - At least twice a week
This list is adapted from Louise Myers.
Remember, If you don't post content on a regular basis, your audience will forget that you exist, and your business will quickly fade into the deep dark crevices of their minds.
Does my business need a blog?
Yes. A blog page is commonly used for sharing marketing content related to your product or service. According to HubSpot, 48% of companies that have a content marketing strategy leverage blogging. This is because blogs appeal to potential consumers by providing them with entertainment and relevant information.
Any business from any industry can make use of blogging.
What is the difference between inbound and outbound marketing?
Outbound or traditional marketing incorporates many "off-screen" methods we would think of as marketing materials - TV commercials, telemarketing, billboards, and magazine ads are all common mediums of outbound marketing.
Outbound marketing's goal is to push the product onto a broad audience. Outbound marketing strategy depends on a one-way communication flow persuading the audience to buy the product. It can also be called "push marketing."
In contrast, inbound marketing aims to pull customers in using their interests to drive the sales experience. Inbound marketing aims for customers to gravitate towards the product by following their interests.
Potential customers have a need, and a business's product or service solves that need. The interaction in inbound marketing is user-driven. Blogs, SERPs, social media, and newsletters are typical examples of inbound marketing. Customers may visit a website, demonstrate interest, and become potential leads. This type of marketing relies on a self-directed buyer's journey to their final "purchase."
What is included in digital marketing reports?
Ideally, your digital marketing report needs to highlight your monthly successes and areas that need improvement. It should include the following sections:
Overall summary
A snapshot of your metrics
Analysis of these metrics
Date comparison tables for metrics.
Digital channels that acquire any new leads for your business
Suggested changes related to your digital strategy that could be carried over into the next month
How do digital marketing consultants help businesses?
They offer services such as:
Search engine marketing which includes (search ads)
Content Marketing (blogs & social media posts)
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
What is SEO?

Your SEO strategy should include the following:

Working with your web developers to improve the technical components of your website.
